Student exchange program with the Linnaeus University for bachelor students
The Academy has an experience of student exchanges with Swedish universities. In the academic year 2013-2014 students of the Department of Finance obtained bachelor degrees at the Linnaeus University (Vaxjo, Sweden).
This exchange program offers the training of the Academy’s students at the University of Linnaeus during one academic year (two semesters). A high level of the English language knowledge is a prerequisite for participation in this program. Upon successful completion of the program a student is entitled to the bachelor's degree in "Business Administration" (Bachelor of Science with specialization in Marketing; Main field of study: Business Administration).
It is difficult to overestimate the contribution of professor Sven-Olof Collin of the Linnaeus University to the development of cooperation between the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Swedish University of Linnaeus. Due to the efforts of Professor Collin it became possible to receive grants to establish students and faculty exchanges between the two education institutions.
The selection of candidates is carried out in accordance with the Agreement on the exchange of students signed between the Academy and the Linnaeus University. It consisted of 3 stages:
- the selection of the best students in "International Economics" and "Finance" based on their rating for the previous academic year;
- submission of resumes and motivation letters by students. The decision on the choice of students is made by the Academy’s Professor Alexander Kostyuk and Professor of the Linnaeus University Sven-Olof Collin;
- remote interviews by the representatives of the corresponding departments of the two universities leading to the final approval of the best students for the study at the Linnaeus University.
